T.U.L.I.P. Ask me about it. asked:

I am looking at getting a set of golf clubs as we have a golf course here on base. But I dont want to spend a ton of money. I am right handed and was looking for an online store. It also has to be sold in complete sets because I dont like the hassle of buying individual clubs. Does any one know of a store that I can get those at.

There are plenty of discount online retailers to choose from and most offer a good range of complete sets. I’m a big fan of Rock Bottom Golf (http://www.rockbottomgolf.com). They might not have the latest models or everything you’re looking for, but when they do have it, they have it for less than anyone else. They sweeten the deal by having coupons and specials running constantly.

I would check there first, then move down the list – just search for golf discount or something similar.

eBay has tons of golf stuff, but you never know what you’re getting there – I’ve heard horror stories about getting sub-par clubs, clones, or nothing at all.

Golfsmith.com has really nice sets of used clubs or you can go to their outlet tab, which has older models are great prices.

Also, check out Overstock.com – they have some brand name sets of clubs at deep discounts, and you don’t even have to leave base to get them! There are two sets (Cleveland and Taylor Made clubs) on the site right now that are solid.
