Good set of golf clubs for my 5 year old?
December 1st, 2009 | by admin |Football Eric asked:
My 5 year old daughter has expressed interest in playing golf. What would be a good set of starter clubs for her? I bought her a set of plastic clubs (nice ones that are adjustable in height and actually look and feel like real clubs, not those over sized dumbs ones) and she has taken to putting really well. Since she has the desire to play, I’d rather buy some real clubs than have her keep using the plastic ones. She is a very small and petite 5 year old. She’s barely 3′ 4. Anybody have any good suggestions for short clubs? Thank you.

believe it or not you can buy a set of metal clubs from k-mart that aren’t that bad for starting out. My 6 year old cousin had them and love playing granted they might be a bit big at first but you will grow in to them quickly as well as grow out of them quickly at that age you have big leaps in growth. The up side is they are good to keep around for any other kids you may have or friends who have kids. Also they aren’t to expensive.

You would want to get a nice pair of USKG clubs there the top ranking brand in kids golf. For your daughters height you would want to get the pink set.

Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the company exactly but I think it was something like USA Golf Outlet. They have a web site that I bought my 5 year olds clubs from. They have different color clubs which are associated with different lengths for different heights of golfers. I think we paid like 70 dollars for a driver, 3 irons, putter and bag which seemed very reasonable to me.
If you are looking for an adult set, I just came across a site that gets you a chance at a new set of Nike Irons and Driver. Its a pretty easy sign up:

Aww, that’s so great that you’re going to get clubs for your daughter, and I’m right with you, it’s better to invest money into buying a real set that will last.
The U.S. Kids Golf 3 Piece Set is for golfers at about 3′ 6, so just about her height, and kids grow so fast, so she’ll be able to still fit them a few months from now. They come with the beginner golf essentials: a driver, iron, putter, and the bag. The set is $89.99. They’re made for kids, so they’re lighter clubs that she can handle. Check it out at.
It’s great you’re getting her into golf, she’ll thank you for it!
