Go to the nearest discount golf store in your area and get a $1,500. gift certificate. You could get away with less or pay even more it is all about your budget. If you want a complete set of top end clubs, expect to pay $1,000 for a good set of Irons, $up to 1,000 for a good set of 3 woods (metals), $200 each for any Hybrids, $200 for a putter and $500 for a set of wedges. A matching manufactures

Hu H has no idea what he is talking about…If you don’t play much or are a high handicapper, i suggest buying a set of Adams Idea irons. They are good irons and are very forgiving for less experienced golfers. You can probably buy them for about $600. You will also need a driver, a good one would be about $250. If i were you, don’t buy one when it just comes out…it will be too expensive for no real difference in technology. As for wedges, buy a 60 and 54 degree-Titleist-spin milled Callaway-mac daddy or Cleveland zip grooves, about $110 apiece. And also a 3 wood or hybrid for around $150-$200 (titleist in my opinion has the best look and feel here)
