My hubby really loves to golf, but in the divorce he had to leave his house and his ex threw away his clubs. I want to surprise him at Christmas with a new set, I know nothing about golf… I bought our daughter Mickey Mouse ones from the disney store…. but I want to get a nice set for him that won’t cost an arm and a leg.

I’m sure he would appreciate a set of mickey mouse ones too. If you want to be boring though, try looking at a golf magazine. Anything that advertises there would be fine.

My suggestion would be to just casually go shopping, and have him try different clubs in sporting stores. Then go buy what he likes best. Also while you are at it buy yourself a set and start golfing too. When my daughter started golfing, she talked me into getting a set of clubs and going with her. We ended up spending almost all my days off golfing, and I found out I really liked it. Make it a family activity.

you should look for some clubs on ebay, you can get a really good deal….. since he loves golf im sure he doesn’t want some knock off brand so you should try to get him some cleveland or ping clubs they’re really good clubs and im sure you can get them at a good price… good luck

2ndswing.com. They have many locations and quality used clubs. A lot of people get a new set every year, so they sell their old sets for cheap. check them out. I got a $1200 set for $200 once.
